1password for mac, I need to attach to a mail message a PDF

I need to send a pdf attached to an 1password item (passport); no way of dragging it to mail.
The only way I found is to open the pdf, save it, attach it, delete it
any better way?

    Thanks for taking the time to write in. Exporting and emailing that as an attachment, then deleting it is the best way to do that.

    I should advise you that when you export an item it is no longer encrypted. If someone accessed that email message, they could view the item, including the attached PDF inside it. You might wish to consider encrypted email options if you haven't already.

    Emailing directly from within 1Password is not offered at this time for the reason above. Were we to offer that feature, we'd want to figure out a way to do it securely first.
