1Password 5 says it cannot connect to 1Password Mini and won't launch.

    Hi @Monuck,

    1Password mini is a component of 1Password that lives inside the 1Password application bundle. So you will have a copy of it but it isn't readily visible.

    I would personally recommend the following.

    1. Drag the 1Password application from your /Applications/ folder to the Trash. Please don't use an app cleaner.
    2. Reboot your Mac.
    3. Download 1Password again from our AgileBits Download page. Version 5.4.1 was only AgileBits Store if I remember correctly and it's now quite out of date. We're up to version 6.1 now.

    After you've done this you may very well still find you have the same error message. Can you see if anything on our page If you see “1Password failed to connect to 1Password mini” when trying to open 1Password helps? One of the commands on that page is specific to 1Password 6 hence getting you to manually update to the latest version so the command can work (if it's required).
