My phone was stolen. How can I access my 1Password account from my computer?

I was pickpocketed yesterday and I'm now without both my phone and wallet, which is making life very difficult. I'm not worried about the thieves accessing my 1Password account, but I do myself need to urgently access some of the information that I had stored on the app. I'm pretty sure it's all synced in the 1Password cloud somewhere, but I don't know how to get to it without the iOS app. Can anybody help me?

Thank you so much.
Declan.

  • Hi Declan ( @declanimation ),

Thanks for taking the time to write in. I'm very sorry to hear about your incident.

By default your 1Password data is only stored on the device you've created it on. It does not automatically sync or back up anywhere. The exception to this is if you are using our 1Password for Families or 1Password for Teams subscription services (in which case your data is stored on the service).

If you were not using 1Password for Families or Teams but did set up syncing, you can learn how to sync your data with a new device here:

    Sync | 1Password for iOS

Unfortunately if you did not set up syncing specifically within 1Password then the only copy may be in a device backup:

Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup - Apple Support

Strangely, we've found that some customers need to restore the same backup twice on a new device in order to restore the 1Password data. This seems to be some strange side effect of how Apple's backups handle installing apps on devices.

Please let us know how it turns out, and if we can be of further assistance.

    Ben
