When I enter new info it often does not appear in the normal display fields, but only if I hit Edit.
I have been using 1Password for several years and have recommended it many times. But recently when I have entered new information in for example Logins or Rewards Programs, some of the information does not appear in the normal display fields, but CAN be seen if I hit Edit. I have deleted the app and reinstalled it, and the problem remains exactly the same. So the information is in there, but it´s not displaying properly. Am I doing something wrong? (Also, I am not receiving the E-mail from you that is needed to start a thread in AgileBits: Help!). Also I have no idea what version or extension of 1Password I have because there is no obvious way within the app to display that information.

Hi @jamestramey
Thanks for taking the time to write in. I'm sorry to hear you're having some trouble displaying all of your entered information.
Also I have no idea what version or extension of 1Password I have because there is no obvious way within the app to display that information.
What version of 1Password do you have installed?
(iOS) How to keep 1Password up to date
On iOS the extension version correlates to the version of the app you have.
Also, I am not receiving the E-mail from you that is needed to start a thread in AgileBits: Help!
I'm sorry but I'm not sure what you are referring to here.
Please let us know.

Hi Ben:
OK, with your help I was able to determine that I have version 6.3.1 installed. The fact that I didn´t get the E-mail from you all is irrelevant because here we are, talking! Now, to the real point: as noted above, when I have entered new information in, for example, Logins or Rewards Programs, once saved, some of the information does not appear in the normal display fields, but CAN be seen if I hit Edit, when all the fields appear where I have the option to enter new information. Information that I entered in those same categories years ago appears just fine: it´s the new entries that often don´t appear. I have deleted the app and reinstalled it, and the problem remains exactly the same. So the information stays in there, but it´s not displaying properly after it gets saved. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a fix for this? Have others complained of the same problem?
Thanks very much!
Jim

Jim,
I'm still trying to figure out what it may be that you are doing that would cause such a thing. As far as I can determine, I have not heard other reports quite like this. Perhaps it would help if you could walk me through the creation process you use for such an item? What fields are you putting information into that are then invisible when you exit edit mode?

OK, I go to Rewards Programs, hit +, Delete "Reward Programs" in order to put in the Reward Program Name, for example, "iPrefer". Then I put nothing under "Section Name", nothing under "Company Name", my first and last name under "Member Name", and my member account number under "Pin", since there isn´t a field for a member account number (which is odd in itself). If I fill in stuff for Section Name and Company Name, it doesn´t matter. The info disappears when I leave edit mode, and all I see is "iPrefer" as the "Reward Program", below which I see options for Add to Favorites, Move and Copy..., and Share. That´s it. Do I have gremlins?

Well, you win the award for the strangest thing I've heard all week. I cannot reproduce it. I've just created an item following the steps you provided:
As you can see, even outside of edit mode, I can see the member name and PIN (of course the PIN is concealed). I thought perhaps there might be a discrepency between iPad and iPhone, so I checked my iPhone as well, but it works as expected there too:
Do I have gremlins?
I think you may. Did you water them? I'd like to ask you to create a Diagnostics Report from your iOS device:
Sending Diagnostics Reports (iOS)
Attach the Diagnostics Report(s) to an email message addressed to support+forum@agilebits.com.
Please do not post your Diagnostics Report(s) in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report(s) in our inbox.
You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here so we can track down the report(s) and ensure that this issue is dealt with quickly. :)
Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks very much!
Ben
P.S.
since there isn´t a field for a member account number (which is odd in itself
I think that is what the "member ID" field is intended for. :)

I sent my Diagnostic Report as requested but did not receive the BitBot reply. I checked in Spam, and that´s where earlier E-mails from AgileBits went, but not this one. Hope you are still able to find the report I sent. Cheers, Jim

Jim,
If you sent the report from the address you have registered here on the forums, we did not receive it. Please try re-sending it.

I sent it again, this time to the correct address (I had used the default the first time, but that was not the one requested above). But I still didn´t get an E-mail response with the code I´m supposed to input here.

Hi Ben:
Any progress on my case? I sent the info you requested to the correct address 3 days ago.
Cheers,
Jim

Jim,
I still have not received any emails from you. Could you please try sending from a different email address? If the message goes through successfully you'll get a message back from BitBot with a support ID #. I'll need that support ID posted here, please.
Thanks!

Hi Ben:
Eureka! I got the E-mail with my support ID: #WWZ-65757-364. In case you want to coach future clients, the problem in sending the diagnostic report was threefold: 1) I did not notice that the default E-mail address placed by my iPhone for you was similar to but different from the one you requested above (support+ios rather than support+forum); 2) I did not notice that the default Sender E-mail my iPhone put on the E-mail was Apple´s @me.com address for me, which I never use, but I was able to change it to the correct address with a roller menu; 3) for several days a little pop-up window was appearing on this forum page, saying that I had not yet registered my E-mail with AgileBits and prompted me to do so, but until yesterday it just didn´t work. Hopefully these stumbling blocks can be taken into account so you can understand why fragile non-techie mortals can get off-track in doing apparently easy things!
I appreciate your patience and persistence. Hope we can fix the problems in my 1Password, too!
Cheers,
Jim
