Feature Request: highlight character position in password reveal
Greetings,
I'm running 1password on Mac and IOS - so this is probably a generic request and maybe there is a way to do this already, but I don't see it so far...
Amongst other inputs, many sites request you to enter one or more characters of your password - e.g. 2nd, 10th, 19th characters.
Now that's easy if you have a short password (10 characters or less) but if you are using 1password's long randomly-generated passwords this is problematical - for example my SIPP provider asks for 3 such characters, and my randomly-generated password is 50 characters long. This morning I was asked for the 15th, 23rd, and 33rd characters and trying to spot these via the password reveal (even with the large type reveal on IOS) is difficult and error-prone.
Could you add something to the password reveal - maybe as an switchable option - to easily show character positions ?
Highlighting every 10th character position would be a good start, or perhaps an switchable popup to input one or more characters (i.e. input 15, 23, 33 and get the characters from those positions)...
Regards.
PitBullCH.

Hi @pitfield,
Have you tried the Large Type option under the password menu? It displays the text larger and also numbers the characters. There are also some improvements coming in 6.3 that allows you to move the window around the screen in the event that the current window behavior doesn't meet your needs.

Hi Rudy,
Oops - was aware of the large type option on IOS (no numbers under that) but was not aware of the one on Mac and that is just what I needed - cheers :-)
Can you bring the number to IOS as well ?
