Attachment drag & drop broken in 6.2?

I can't say for sure whether the problem first appeared with version 6.2, but drag & drop of files isn't working anymore for me. I've tried with several attachments of varying (usually small) size, but though the cursor changes to a green "+" as expected, nothing happens when I let go in the Finder. Interestingly, the attachments still open in their associated applications ready-only when double clicking on them.

Could you please let me know whether this is a known bug and whether it's safe to e.g. duplicate, edit, and replace files through their default applications? I'd rather not mess with attachments right now if this could break 1Password entries.

  • hi @Markus73,

I'm taking a look at this to see if i can get it to happen here. Are you using the Mac App Store version or Agile Store version? Based o your descriptions it sounds like you're using a vault that that has dropbox sync setup for it?

    Hi @rudy,

yes, I'm using the App Store version with Dropbox sync. I've just replicated the issue with the same 1Password version on another machine that's also running Mac OS X 10.11.4.

    hi @Markus73,

Thanks for letting me know, I have confirmed that this is indeed broken and have filed a bug against it under OPM-3980. This only seems to impact the Mac App Store Version, not that that's any consolation. You do have the option to run the Agile Store version until we get an update reviewed by Apple to fix the Mac App Store version, https://support.1password.com/switch-from-mac-app-store/

Additionally if you want to continue running the Mac App Store version while you wait for the update to be approved, You can still interact with your attachments via the 1Password mini menubar icon item details.
