Have followed your support pages for instructions. Safari won't install 1Password extension "An error occurred while installing the extension “1Password”."
Restart Safari does not resolve this.
Unable to remove the extension either, since it does not appear in the safari extensions pane.
Downloaded extension 4.5.5 and tried install 'from developer' and 'from gallery'. Same error message.
Please advise

    Hi @Ghigo,

I'm sorry you've been having trouble installing the 1Password extension in Safari!

Just to make sure I understand, it sounds like you're getting the “Safari can’t install this extension” error described here: How to fix the “Safari can’t install this extension” error

It also sounds like you've followed the steps in that article. If you get that error when trying to install the extension, it usually means the extension is already installed. When you checked to see if it was already installed, did you do so from Safari > Preferences > Extensions? If 1Password isn't listed there, and restarting Safari didn't help, you might also try rebooting your Mac. Once it restarts, try installing the extension again. Does that make any difference?

You said you've also tried installing it from the Safari Extension Gallery, but can you please confirm that you followed these steps:

    • Open Safari and go to the menu for Safari > Safari Extensions...
    • If 1Password is listed at the top, click on that (if not, you can search for it in the 'Search' field).
    • Click the Install now link.

If you do that but get the error message, I'd like to ask you to create a Diagnostics Report from your Mac: https://support.1password.com/diagnostics/mac.html

Attach the Diagnostics Report to an email message addressed to: support+forum@agilebits.com

Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum username so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your report in our inbox.

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here so we can track down the report and make sure you receive a reply as quickly as possible. Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks in advance! :)
