Smarter default website name possible?
So this seems fairly simple, but if I am visiting www.website.com, and save a login, 1Password's default name will be "www.website.com". Now a more intuitive action would be recognizing the non-name items and actually make the name to be "website", stripping out the "www." and ".com". Is there a way to achieve this? If not, can this become a feature request?

Hi, @caleb_m. Funny you should mention this. 1Password 6.2 for Mac was just released, and it has our first attempt at creating better titles for sites. I'd love if you give it a try and let us know what you think. There are a couple of edge cases and bugs that we have discovered since 6.2's release, but in general it seems to be working quite well for folks. The basics of the approach is that it uses the page's title combined with the URL to figure out the best title. We've tested sites like eBay, The Verge, and Kellogg’s Family Rewards if you'd like to test on some of the sites we used as testing grounds. Right now, it doesn't work on sites whose domains are initials like
ssa.gov
becomingSocial Security Administration
but this is something we want to explore for an update soon.Let us know what you think!
