    Hi @howielynn,

Thanks for reaching out to us about this!

The 1Password application (i.e. the file named 1Password.app or 1Password 6.app) needs to be located in the main Applications folder on your Mac. If you move the app to Dropbox or your iCloud Drive, you will likely run into problems.

Are you perhaps using Dropbox sync in 1Password, and are asking how to switch to iCloud sync? If so, you just need to change your sync settings:

    • Open 1Password and go to 1Password > Preferences in the menu bar.
    • Click the Sync tab, then change the sync from Dropbox to iCloud.
    • Click Disable Sync (if you want to remove the old sync file from your Dropbox folder, click the box to Delete data from Dropbox).
    • Follow any additional on-screen steps to complete iCloud sync setup.

Please note that the iCloud sync option in 1Password doesn't use your iCloud Drive - instead, it uses Apple's CloudKit technology. So, you won't see any 1Password files in your iCloud Drive.

Hopefully this helps, but please let us know if you have any trouble with that, or if you have more questions. Thanks!
