1password mini response slowed in v6.2

I just updated to 6.2 from MAS. My problem did not occur prior to the 6.2 update.

When using 1password mini, I type the minimum prefix to filter to a unique item name (e.g. goo for google) and then tap the right arrow key to show the expanded information for the item.

Before updating to 6.2, I could type as fast as possible (e.g. type "goo→") and the gui would quickly catch up by filtering and then showing the expanded view for an item. All told, my interaction with 1password was only limited by the speed of my fingers.

Now, i must wait for the gui to settle on the unique result before I can type the right arrow key to show the results. The delay introduced by needing to wait for the GUI to show the results of filtering is not the end of the world, but it would be nice if the old lightning fast speed was possible.

I encounter this problem (the delay) on both a recent MacBook Air and a 2008 Mac Pro. The delay did not manifest on either machine before updating to 6.2.

  • Hi @liszt,

Thanks for writing in. It's interesting that you're seeing this... things should have gotten better there, not worse in 6.2. We removed and shortened a bunch of delays. I'll ask Chad about this to see if there's anything we've done that could have made this worse.

    Rick
