“1Password failed to connect to 1Password mini” when trying to open 1Password
I followed every step of the solution posted on your site to the tee, I Restarted my Mac
I don't not know how to Reset extended attributes
1Password still did not start correctly
I opened Terminal, from the Utilities folder of the Applications folder.
I copied and pasted the following into Terminal and press Return:
xattr -d -r -s com.apple.quarantine /Applications/1Password\ 6.app
and after entering it said "file not found"
I'm having the issues in both my iMac 5k retina and my late 2011 Macbook pro 15inch. I was also one of those guys who got screwed and after buying your program directly from your site, I then had to pay twice to buy it from the Apple Store so that it would sync properly with iCloud. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for contacting us, hopefully we'll be able to get you back up and running.
did you move or rename the 1Password application someplace other than your Applications folder? the "file not found" indicates that its not located at /Applications/1Password 6.app; If you tell me where it is/what its named i can give you a new command to run.
One step we can take to figure out what's going on with 1Password being unable to connect to mini is we can look at the system log and see what gets logged when you launch 1Password.
- open /Applications/Utilities/Console.app
- Click the clear display button at the top of the window
- launch 1Password
- copy the text that appears in Console.app related to 1Password and paste it here

Thank you for the rapid response! I wish this was easier than having the program be in the wrong spot. All my programs are automatically installed into my applications folder, I never have them install anywhere else and I never move them once there. Here are some screen shots, also took a screen shot of when and how I re-purchased the program on Oct 21st 2014 via the Mac App store as the one I purchased directly from AgileBits wouldn't function with the iCloud sync.

Hi @JeremiahJGomez,
Those screenshots all look right to me.
The Mac App Store is pretty insistent upon the binary being inside /Applications, so we've confirmed that part of the equation.
Were you able to capture the console output when trying to launch 1Password?

Rudy, my apologies brother but how do I do that? btw, I'm seeing this issue after a fresh reboot and upon initial opening of 1Password. Thanks. Let me know what you want and how do it, and I'll get that for you as soon as I can. Thanks again for the trouble shooting assistance. I don't think this life threatening, super critical, the worlds going to end stuff so at your leisure we can work this out.
Respectfully,
Jeremiah

Greetings @JeremiahJGomez,
So the reason the command
xattr -d -r -s com.apple.quarantine /Applications/1Password\ 6.app
did not work is we've always been under the assumption that the issue this command is attempting to resolve is only an issue for users running the version of 1Password from our site. That version goes under the name1Password 6.app
while the version from the Mac App Store goes by simply1Password.app
. If the issue was connected to quarantine then the command you would need to use would bexattr -d -r -s com.apple.quarantine /Applications/1Password.app
It may be to discover the cause we need to look at a diagnostic report and if so this guide will assist.
Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums
The email address you will want to use is support+forum@agilebits.com.
When sending the diagnostic report to the address above it would help immensely if you could include a link to this thread and your forum handle so we can connect the two.
Once you've sent the report a post here with the ticket ID will help us to keep an eye out for it. With access to the report we should be able to better assist you

This is what came up once I used the command you supplied. I was going to copy and paste but it was over 100 pages or so long. Here's a screen shot of top and bottom of terminal, tons of stuff in center that I didn't capture, let me know if you actually need it?

Hi @JeremiahJGomez,
I think the way forward is via the diagnostic report. If you've sent it in can you please post the ticket ID here so we can locate it and we'll take a look
