I was a long time user but bought into the Family Plan. Now all my contacts have been duplicated.
I had 250+ passwords in a 1Password individual account. I wanted to get my wife to use it too, so when you announced the family plan I though "Great, that works!" Only after I followed all your directions on the website (which really are not good, really!) all my passwords and logins have now been duplicated. Since my wife and I have our own individual passwords (we don't really share any of them), in retrospect maybe the "family" plan wasn't such a good idea. Now how do I get rid of the duplicates and trash the family plan?

@ntullomd: Sorry for the confusion! It sounds like you simply copied your data to a second vault (in 1Password Families), so you're seeing two of each item — one for each vault — using the All Vaults view. So you've got all of your data in 1Password Families, and then again in the vault in Dropbox.
The best thing would be to switch to the old vault and delete the items there (they'll be safe in the Trash, which is what would have happened if you'd Moved them instead of Copying). Alternatively, you can "hide" the vault under 1Password Preferences > All Vaults. I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any other questions! :)

In a related issue, my goal is to simply use my shared vault for everything - I have no need for my original Primary vault nor will I use the Personal vault under the family plan. So I want my shared vault to be the default vault for saving, syncing, everything. The question is this: right now in my preferences pane, under Sync, the only thing I seem to be able to sync is my old Primary vault (presently syncing with iCloud). Is my Shared family vault already synced somewhere automatically?
By the way, what I am doing - moving from old individual account to 100% family account - seems like it would be fairly a common (if not most common) objective for people who are switching from individual to family accounts. Yet, I haven't found a clear guide on how to do this - it seems you have left us to piece things together from forums, etc. I've spent an awful lot of time trying to get this set up.

Hi @Mountb,
All vaults in your Family account (including the Shared vault) are automatically available on all your devices and in the browser.
There is a document about transferring the data: https://support.1password.com/teams-families-migrate/ios.html
I agree that data migration should be simpler — ideally it would be just a single click to move your existing data into the Family account. We we are working on it.
