Master password not recognized after rereload 1 password on my Mac

I had to reload 1 password on my mac after receiving messages that the program had been corrupted. Now, my master password is not recognized.

    Hi @gcfriedman ,

    I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble logging in. Unlike on iPhones and iPads, when you delete and reload an app, it doesn't take your data with it, so I'm not certain why you master password would not be recognized.

    Did you use an app cleaner utility to remove the old one password, or just drag the application to the trash?

    I also have a suggestion to try:

    1. At the unlock screen, go to the 1Password menu and choose Restore.
    2. It should show a list of your backups. If you have one that's very recent (e.g. right before you deleted the old copy of the application), choose that backup and click Restore.
    3. Launch 1Password again and try your Master Password.

    Please let us know right away if that helps or not.
