Help! Wiped hard drive and 1Password seems to be overwriting newer data!...

I did a complete wipe of the Mac hard drive and installed El Capitan 11.4; installed 1Password, and it automatically found some old data on iCloud, but my most recent backup is in Dropbox. I'm afraid that 1Password might over write the newer data with what it has now (I can tell it's old because of what's in it), and my iPhone still has the newer data.
I cannot get 1Password to import the file on Dropbox. What can I do?

@Chowardart: Ah, great question, and there's an easy answer: backup your data! :sunglasses:

While either Dropbox or iCloud should prefer the newer data, it's better to be safe than sorry and take the necessary precautions. That way if it goes wrong you can restore and try a different approach.

So first save a backup of your primary vault (with the data from iCloud), and also open Finder and make a copy of the vault stored in Dropbox. You can just keep a duplicate copy on your Desktop. Then double-click the vault in Dropbox to open it in 1Password. You can then transfer and or all of its data to the primary vault (right-click, Share), and simply remove the Dropbox vault from 1Password again (1Password menu > Delete [vault name]).

I hope this helps. Be sure to let us know if you have any other questions! :)
