As stated I upgraded 1Password now I have 2 copies on my MacBook Air computer.
I upgraded and now have 2 programmes:
1Password 6.2 with all my Logins, and another 1Password 6.2.1 without any of my Logins.
I hesitate to delete the 6.2.1 in case I lose all my Logins. Any help?
1Password Version: 6.2
Extension Version: 6.2.1
OS Version: OSX El Capitan
Sync Type: iCloud
Referrer: forum-search:Upgraded and nowhere 2 copies of 1password. One with logins and one with none?

Hi @mazmcgreal ,
Don't delete either one of them just yet. It sounds like you may have been using 1Password from the Mac App Store previously, and now have downloaded it from the AgileBits Store. If this doesn't sound like what you've done, please ignore the rest of this message, and let us know and we can assist further.
If it does sound like you've switched to the AgileBits Store from the Mac App Store (or vice versa), then we can easily move your items from one to the other.
To get your items out of 1Password 6.2:
- Open 1Password 6.2, unlock, and make sure "All Items" is selected in the sidebar.
- If you have more than one vault, select your Primary vault.
- Choose
Export -> All Items
from the File menu. - Enter your master password and it will ask you where to save the files.
- If you have more than one vault, repeat steps 3 and 4 for each vault.
Now, to import the items into 1Password 6.2.1:
- Quit 1Password 6.2 by holding down the
control
key while selectingQuit 1Password and 1Password mini
from the1Password
menu. - Open 1Password 6.2.1, unlock, and make sure "All Items" is selected in the sidebar. If you see your items already, skip to the last step. If not, continue.
- Choose
Import…
from the file menu, and choose 1Password as the source of your items. Click on the instruction link for the Mac version (on the right). - Click the button shown and open the ".1pif" file you saved easier. Your items will now import.
- Check to see all of your items are there. Once they are, trash the .1pif file and empty your trash. This file is not encrypted and your items could be read by anyone who possesses this file.
That should be it. You can now safely trash 1Password 6.2. A note for future updates, you will not need to do this as long as you update the same version (i.e. if you are using the AgileBits Store version now, keep using it. If you are using the Mac App Store version now, keep using that one)
Cheers,
Kevin0
