I updated with the latest version on my Mac today and it says file is damaged cannot open.
I have been using 1 password for years. Today I updated to the latest version and now I get a message " 1 password app is damaged and can't be opened. Download from the App Store. I am using OS X El Capitan version 10.11.4
The problem is I did not buy it from the App Store I bought it directly from you.
Also I don't want to delete and loose all my passwords.
Help please

As long as you just delete the application and don't use any kind of app cleaner, you won't lose any data.
I suggest the following.
Trash the application and empty the trash.
Restart the computer
- Download 1PW again from AgileBits (since you say that is where you got it from.
- Unzip the downloaded zip file using Apple's own Archive Utility. Sometimes people use a different unarchiver, and occasionally (I don't know why) that causes trouble.
- Put the unzipped 1PW into the Applications folder, and all should be well.

That worked, thank you.

Excellent! Thanks for the update. I'm glad to hear that all is well. It sounds like you should be all set, but don't hesitate to reach out if we can be of further assistance. We're always here to help! :)
