Can not update because of a second copy on my cloned backup drive. How fix?

I use SuperDuper! to clone both my Hard Drive (contains movies and music) and my internal SSD (contains the OS and all apps) every night. The clones land on the Backup SSD and Backup HD which are always mounted. I can not update 1 Password because it thinks I have multiple copies of the app. I purchased 1 Password from your store. Can I safely just unmount my backup drives, update 1Password, and then remount my backup drives? And, I have been using 1Password for several years, and SuperDuper! also. Why did this just start happening???

    Hi Mike,

Yes, you can safely unmount, update, and then remount.

We made this change because of a bug in the service which launches 1Password mini. Sometimes the service would launch the 1P mini contained within a different copy of the application. And if that copy was an older version, 1Password would crash on launch. This bug was made worse with the change from 1Password 5 to 1Password 6. The name change confused the launchd service.

You can also click the "Update Anyway" button and roll the dice. It's much less likely to be a problem if you are upgrading from an earlier version of 1Password 6.
