Can't use 1p to enter team membership
Just an idea, but in the settings page where you can enter your team details, you can't easily retrieve them in 1p in the other pane as it won't let you save partial details so that you can flip back. This is annoying! Why don't you let us save incomplete details, or have a lookup in 1p button to choose them? It feels old fashioned that I have to write them on a bit of paper and type them back in...

@365nice: This reminds me a bit of "Inception": trying to login to 1Password using information stored in 1Password! A better option would be to simply scan the QR code from your account to login. For example, when you signed up for 1Password Teams and go to "Get the Apps", it will show a link to each, your account credentials, and the QR code to easily scan. And each device you authorize (not just the browser) will also have your account information for you to help authorize the next device:
I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions! :)

Yeah but you have to have 2 devices on hand to do that. I still can't see why you can't save partial details on that screen. I wrote it down and cursed the design while doing it.

@365nice: Can you tell me a bit more about why you're using data in 1Password to login to 1Password in the first place? I understand what you're suggesting, but I'm having trouble grasping the scenario where it would be necessary.
For instance, my iPhone has my 1Password data on it because it's logged into my 1Password Families (and Teams) account already, so there's no need for me to use it to login to itself again. An example would be great! :)

Sure - you sent me an email about 1P family... it sounded great, so I signed up on my iPad while on the go. I got an email etc. As I didn't really understand how it all worked I just stored the details it was asking me in 1P on my ipad (I flipped from the web browser to 1P).
Then I read about how 1P Families just integrates with the 1P I already had installed on my iPad, so I went to check that out, and saw it in the settings cog... great I thought. So then I went fill that out and discovered it needs multiple bits of info - which were all locked away in the 1P Family entry I had just filled out. But if you flip over there to get those details (like your password and your account key) when you go back it doesn't save each item - its all or nothing.
Sure if you have two devices on you, you can scan the barcode - but if you don't, its a bit frustrating - it would be so easy to let you fill out your account number, flip, get your password, flip back and then past that in and then finally you can press save.

@365nice: Ah, thank you! That makes things much clearer for me. You're right, that does make things difficult. While I don't think that your particular case is typical, it may be that making the change you've proposed would help others in different scenarios too. Thanks for the feedback — and for giving 1Password Families a spin. We're here for you if you have any other questions, comments, or suggestions! :)

Thank you so much for the kind words! I think it's safe to say that we're proud of 1Password Families and Teams, but not satisfied. We're just getting started! :sunglasses:
