Syncing different Apple IDs

My spouse and I have used iCloud to sync our vault in the past. We are about to set up separate Apple ID's to eliminate message and mail issues on multiple (4) devices. Can we use Dropbox to sync our vaults over devices with different Apple IDs?

1Password Version: MacApp Store 5.4
Extension Version: 4.5.5
OS Version: OSX 10.11.3
Sync Type: iCloud vs Dropbox

@eands_comcast: Yes! Dropbox is completely separate from your Apple ID, and unlike iCloud, you can actually share data between Dropbox accounts if you'd like to have those separate as well:

    Dropbox Sync setup

However, you may want to consider 1Password Families, since it makes sync setup a thing of the past, and sharing setup as easy as adding a family member to a vault you want them to be able to access.:

    1Password Families

But most of all, be sure to update 1Password for Mac. If you're really running version 5.4, you're months behind, and 1Password 6 is a free update that's fully supported on El Capitan. Let me know if you have any other questions! :)
