My 1Password crashes since upgrading to iOS 9.

I can get into 1Password with my pin, but after leaving a login area and trying to go to another, 1Password crashes. When I try to sign back in, I get a box asking if I want to report the problem, which I always do.

Do you have a fix in the works?

@dar007: This isn't an issue with 1Password 6 or iOS 9, or we'd have been getting reports of this since September. It sounds like the app may simply be damaged on your device.

Since you left out this information, are you syncing your 1Password data with other devices? Do you have a backup somewhere? If so, the best thing to do would be to install a fresh copy of 1Password from the App Store and transfer your data back.

Alternatively, do you happen to be running a very old version of 1Password which is incompatible with iOS 9 and newer devices? If so, you can migrate your data to the current version:

I'm having the same issue recently. Yes, IOS 9.3.1 and 1PW 3.8.22. Are you saying I must upgrade to stop the crashing on my iPhone?

Yes. :)

1Password 3 for iOS was retired in 2012 and has not / will not be updated for iOS 9 compatibility.

I followed instructions starting on p. 5 "Alternative method for 1Password 3.6.5 or later". (I have 3.7.2.) Downloaded 1Padsword backup file & renamed. Then dragged it into File Sharing 1Password Documents box in iTunes and did an iTunes sync. But it doesn't sync to the new version of 1Password and there's now an "inbox" in the Documents box too(?)

I did the sync with iTunes OK, but it seems to be trying to sync the new 1Password app from iCloud. However, no items appear in the new vault I created in the new release of 1Password.

Thoughts? Can I call you???

I got it! I was using the wrong password for my old 3 version of 1Password. As soon as I entered the correct one, it unlocked the version 3 vault and the transfer took place!!!
