Master Password not accepted after upgrade iPhone ios to version 9.3.1 from 8.

My master password is no longer being accepted when I upgraded to ios 9.3.1 from 8. I do see two 1Password backups from icloud but unsure if this is causing the issue. I used 1Password regularly via IOS and each time the master password worked fine but not sure why it's not working now that I'm on an updated version of ios 9.3.1 as well as the latest version of 1Password.

What I'm trying to do is sync from icloud to get the lastest password file after I upgraded to ios 9.3.1.
I get a dialog box with this message "1Password found existing data in iCould. It will be used to create a new vault on this iPhone". Then when I clicked Continue and entered my master password, it's errored out that my password is incorrect. I have no other backup outside from icloud. Please help.

@schau: I'm a bit confused by your description, since 1Password 6 couldn't have been installed on iOS 8 in the first place before you upgraded. Did you leave anything else out?

(Un)fortunately AgileBits has neither your 1Password data nor the Master Password used to secure it, so this isn't something we can 'reset' for you to help directly. However, please try the tips in this guide as they may help you gain access again:

If that doesn't help though, you will need to either restore from a backup, sync from another device, or simply start over. Were you syncing with iCloud previously? Do you have your 1Password data on any other devices, or a backup saved? Please let me know. I look forward to hearing back from you!
