Been trying to install for 10 days, no success. Need help desperately!!!!

I had an older version of 1Password on my IPhone. I had a trial version on my IMac. I purchased the families version and cannot get it to install properly. I did the purchase through my I phone. I changed the password. Im not sure if whats on my Iphone now is the old or new version because it only opens up with the old password. I went to the website given in the email on my IMac and downloaded version 6 to it. When i open 1Password6 from the Applications folder it still opens the old trial version even though I deleted it. HELP!!
