Converting a password to a log in

When I click "Convert to Login", why does the conversion happen automatically, leaving me with an item that stores only a password? What are the chances this is a password-only item vs. 1Password failed to capture the signup form I was interacting with, so I had to manually convert the password I generated? I've encountered this repeatedly lately. Each time, I have to then hit edit so that I can add in the username.

I don't know how app developers model this sort of thing, but in web-developer terms you're sending me to a show page when you should be sending me to an edit page.

    Hi @CasualSubversive,

Thank you for taking some time to contact us about your concern.

Do you mean: Why doesn't it happen automatically? If this is the case, then you're right about it being a bit confusing. Our development team is already working on improving this, and trying to make it more intuitive and easier to use in the future!

Let us know if there's anything else we can help you with! :chuffed:
