Hello,

I am running 1password 6.2.1 (and password mini) on OSX 10.11.4.
There is a folder on my desktop called 2BUA8C4S2C.com.agilebits.onepassword-osx-helper
I would like to delete or move it, is it required ?

  • Hey @ajt! That is the data folder for 1Password. It shouldn't be on your desktop though. Did you move it there when starting over, perhaps?

    I may have ...
There are no other folders of similar name anywhere that I can find.
What is the procedure for moving it somewhere less intrusive ?

    Hi @ajt,

If you have gone through the starting over process, then that folder is only a backup. I'd recommend you to first, make sure this is the case. Make sure you've made a backup of your data. In the menu bar in 1Password, go to File then click Backup. If you click on "Show files" you'll be able to check that you have recent backups saved. You can then delete the folder on your desktop.

Please let us know if there's anything else we can assist you with :chuffed:
