Hi.
I have an iMac with 1P installed.
Also a new iPad Pro with 1P
Also an iPhone 6 with 1P.
I don't remember when , But in the past Iv'e reinstalled 1P in my iPhone , And I also don't remember
Why I needed to change the Master password to continue the installation .
In fact , I have 2 Master passwords - in the iOS and in the OS X WITH THE SAME 1Password data.
All 1P versions sync via iCloud AND ALL WELL !
For peace of mind , Is it possible to change the iOS master password to be the same as OS X ?
As I now remember that I've done it before but when needed to reinstall in the iOS , The 1P asked me to fill the older master password and not the changed / updated one .
Hoping that i expalin myself ...
Thanks.

iMac Late 2012 OSX 10.11.4
iPad Pro iOS 9.3.1 1P AppStore ver 6.4
iPhone 6 iOS 9.3.1 1P AppStore ver 6.4

1Password Version: 6.4
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: 10.11.4
Sync Type: iCloud

    Hi Ben .
    Thank you for your reply.
I know how to change Master Password , I don't understand why I have 2 of them ? Or in another view : why the previous master password needed after reinstalling the 1P APP ? its like the master password change didn't update for a reinstall ...

  • I don't understand why I have 2 of them

Apparently when you changed it, the change didn't sync. In cases like that it may help to disable syncing on all devices, remove the sync data from the sync provider, and then re-enable syncing.

    Thank you.
Could you please advise me how to do it step by step ?
I have an iPhone 6 + iPad Pro + iMac , all with updated software version.
    All syncing via iCloud.

    Sure thing, @ronen!

First, a note: Following these steps will cause all 1Password data stored in iCloud to be permanently deleted – including any new items or changes to existing items that haven't yet synced. Any 1Password data that’s already on the devices will not be deleted, but syncing will be disabled.

    1) Disable iCloud sync everywhere. Be sure to do these steps on every device:

    • Mac: Open and unlock 1Password, then choose 1Password > Preferences. Click the Sync icon, select your Primary vault, and set "Sync Primary vault with" to None.
    • iOS: Open and unlock 1Password, then tap Settings > Sync > Sync Service > Disable Sync.

    2) Remove the data from iCloud. (You only need to do this on your Mac. Once the data is removed, there is no need to remove it again.) In 1Password, choose Help > Troubleshooting > Reset iCloud Data. It might take a moment to remove all the data from iCloud, but there will be a confirmation when it's done.

    3) On the Mac, begin syncing with iCloud in 1Password again.

    4) Begin syncing with iCloud on the iOS devices.

Let us know how it goes! We're happy to help if any other questions come up for you during this process. :)

    Hi Vee.
First, Thank you for your reply and instructions .
    Second , All well !
Third , For other people who will watch your instructions , If I may add a comment ...
After_ "select your Primary vault, and set "Sync Primary vault with" to None." _
A pop up window appear with a suggestion to_ "delete data from iCloud"_ , At this point I did NOT mark it .
    Pls see Pic.
    Thanks again !!!

  • Glad to hear that worked out, @ronen! Yes, you could've checked that box, but the instructions Vee posted starting with "Remove the data from iCloud" also accomplishes that. :)
