Adding 1Password to my iPad?

I have the 1Password license and use it on my iMac and my MacBook.

Can I add 1Password to my iPad on the same license?

If not, how can I add 1Password to my iPad yet sync it with my iMac/MacBook (licensed) version?

Thanks,

Tom

    Hi Tom (@drtomlogan),

Thank you for contacting us. Your license is only valid for Mac, however you can download and use the basic version of iOS for free on your iPad. You can then sync your two computers with your iPad via Dropbox. If you want to, you can get the Pro features for your iPad to get full functionality of 1Password!

Please let us know if you have any other questions or if there's anything else we can help you with! :chuffed:

Thanks. I've just downloaded the app to my iPad. I'm trying to sync it to my Mac 1Password account, correct? So:

On the Welcome to 1Password screen, I select "Sign into 1Password account"

    I select "Sign in Manually."

On the Add Account window, it's asking me for a "Team URL." What is that?

And is the account key, the key from my Mac 1Password? Same with the email address and master password: They are all from my Mac 1Password account, correct?

    Thanks. :)

    Hi @drtome,

I'm sorry for the confusion while setting up 1Password on your iPad. You only have a Team URL, Account Key, etc. if you have a subscription to 1Password Families or Teams. When you first open 1Password on your iPad click on "Use without an account". Then "Sync with Dropbox". You can see the steps to finish configuring Dropbox syncing here: https://support.1password.com/guides/ios/sync-with-dropbox.html.

Please let us know how this works out for you! :chuffed:

This change of course/UI/etc, is almost as bad as the Evernote re-up and nearly as bad as the Soundcloud 2.whoa burn out, what are you knuckleheads doing over there?

    Hi @CHURCHofKINK,

I'm sorry to hear that you don't like the new options we have for 1Password. Keep in mind that we still offer the standalone, traditional version of it. There is no intention from our part to change that. What we have now is more options so everyone can find what fits them best. 1Password Families/Teams has some pretty awesome capabilities that can only be offered in this model, but you certainly don't need to adopt it, you just now have the option to do so.

Please let us know if there's anything else that we can do for you :chuffed:

Thanks, Pilar. The Dropbox sync appears to have worked.

Now, how do I use 1Password on my iPad via Safari? Is there an extension I have to install?

Sorry for these basic questions. Feel free to just give me a link. :)

@drtomlogan: Hey, not a problem! It's often the basics that are most important, but often overlooked. :)

In order to use the 1Password extension in Safari, you'll need to enable it in the Share [ ↑ ] menu:

    Enable 1Password extension (iOS)

Then you can use it not only in Safari, but in any other iOS app which adds support for 1Password:

    Using the 1Password Extension (iOS)

I hope this helps. Be sure to let us know if you have any other questions. We're here for you! :)
