1pw backup file
is it still possible (as it was on earlier versions) to backup 1pw from your iphone over wifi to a website/url which you could then download a file to your mac and then use that file to restore your data?
if so, how? the new version is very different from previous.

Thanks for writing in with your question! It sounds like you're referring to the way backups worked in 1Password 3 for iOS. Are you now using 1Password 6? If so, backups work differently, but you can still save a backup to your Mac and use that to restore data - in fact, it should be even easier than before! We explain how to do that here: Creating and restoring 1Password backups in iTunes (iOS)
That article explains how to use a backup file to restore data to 1Password for iOS, but if you'd like to use it to restore data to 1Password for Mac, that's also very easy:
- Open the 1Password app on your Mac, and go to File > Restore.
- In the window that opens, click Find Backup.
- Select the backup file (the one you saved to your Mac via iTunes) and click the Add Backup button.
- Select that backup from the list and click the Restore button.
