i recently updated 1pw on my iphone for a newer version. i think i had version 3 and now 6. i notice i now have waaaaay fewer categories to choose from. i think the wallet feature is now gone. it still saved my drivers license, ss card, memberships, etc. but these can now only be accessed under "all items" and i can no longer add new ones. is this now a "pro feature" that i have to pay for? are these items in "pro feature" if i buy this bundle? if so thats good. at least i can get this feature back. let me know. thanks!

ps. if it is in fact now a pro feature, and agile bits removed it from an older version so that when you update you now have to buy it, thats total BS imho.

    Hi @judahaskew,

I'm glad to hear you've upgraded from 1Password 3 to 1Password 6 on your iPhone! There are a lot of differences between those two versions, and it sounds like there are a couple different things causing some confusion here. But I'll be happy to help clear all that up for you!

First, about the Wallet feature: Starting in version 4 for iOS (and Mac), there were some changes to the categories in 1Password. Version 4 and higher no longer have a Wallet group, but all the item types that were part of that group (Bank Account, Credit Card, Driver's License, and others) are now their own categories. You might have noticed the Accounts group is also gone - some of the categories from Accounts are still there (such as Database, Email Account, and Wireless Router) but many categories from that group have been converted into Logins (such as FTP, Generic Accounts, and so on).

Now, the other thing causing confusion is that you aren't seeing all of those categories listed in the Categories section, which is because you don't have the Pro features. With the basic features, you'll see the Logins, Secure Notes, Credit Cards, and Identities categories, and can create new items in those categories. But as you noticed, all your items from the other categories are still there and can be found in All Items. If you'd like to see the full list of Categories and also be able to create new items in those other categories, you'll need the Pro features. We have more information here: Pro features in 1Password for iOS

ps. if it is in fact now a pro feature, and agile bits removed it from an older version so that when you update you now have to buy it, thats total BS imho.

We didn't remove anything from older versions - we haven't made any changes at all to 1Password 3 for iOS since we removed it from sale in the App Store back in 2012. But your purchase of 1Password 3 doesn't give you free Pro features in 1Password 6, as they are separate apps.

To give a brief history, we released 1Password 4 for iOS back in December 2012 as a separate purchase from 1Password 3, which was a few years old by that point. Version 4 was an entirely new version of the app (rewritten from the ground up), so it was sold separately - basically, version 4 was a paid upgrade from version 3. Also, like version 3, there were no in-app purchases in version 4 - customers needed to purchase the entire app in order to download/use it on their devices.

In versions 5 and 6, 1Password for iOS is a free download, and offers free basic features. The Pro features are free if you previously purchased 1Password 4 for iOS, or if you purchased the Pro features in version 5. Otherwise, you can choose to unlock the Pro features with an in-app purchase. You would only need to purchase the Pro features once and can unlock them in 1Password 6 on all your iOS devices associated with your Apple ID.

I hope this helps to clear up the confusion, but if you have more questions about that or need anything else, please don't hesitate to let us know! :)
