followed all steps but still not able to open 1password 6 with extensions on macbook. please help!

Keep seeing this despite following the steps (restart, ensuring app in is applications folder, etc)
Please restart 1Password. If this does not help, please contact AgileBits support.

We have a macbook and my account is for both mac and windows (plus iPhone)
The mac version is not connecting to the browser extensions and vice versa.
