Forgot Master Password to iCloud vault

I have exactly the same problem but I don't want to just switch to Drop Box and forget about it to solve it. When installing a new copy of 1Password I get stuck in an endless loop I can't cancel out of asking me for the password to the old iCloud vault. Clicking "cancel" just asks me for the password again.

@marty_b: I hope you don't mind, but I've split you off into a new discussion, rather than generating multiple notifications for folks who participated in a discussion last year. This way we can also focus on your particular situation, since I may need some more details specific to your setup.
First and foremost, if you've really forgotten your Master Password, you should be able to delete the iCloud vault by setting up the app with a new vault without syncing anything, and then going to 1Password Settings > Advanced > Erase iCloud Data. Be sure to try this, as that will likely allow you to setup iCloud sync with your new vault without having to bother with the forgotten Master Password for the old one.
If you're still having trouble, unfortunately without some basic information it's hard to say what might be going wrong and how we might right it! Please tell me the OS, 1Password, and device versions you're using, the exact steps you're taking, and what is (or is not) happening the way you expect so we can figure out the best plan of action.
The more information you can give, the better. For instance, are you receiving an error message? Have you tried backing up your data and reinstalling the app? Which other devices are you trying to sync with? Thanks in advance! :)
