Creating a CSV file for import . . .

Hi there,
I have 1Password on iOS and want to import an excel file (which I'll create a CSV file from) with passwords on.

a) Does the file need column headers?
b) I understand that different 1P entries need different formats - is there a concise explanation of these?

Many thanks,
Jon

    @wimblejon ,

    There is no import functionality in the tablet versions of 1Password - you will need to use a Desktop system, and once imported there, sync to your iOS device. Do you have a desktop version you can use, even temporarily?

    Hi MrC and thanks for the reply,
    I'm using 1P on an iPhone5 and am very comfortable using and creating spread-sheets as well as a CSV file from one an my PC - and can therefore send it to the iPhone for import into 1P.
    . . .but those weren't the questions I was asking!
    Do you know the answers to my questions, above?/
    Cheers,
    Jon

    @wimblejon ,

    Ok, great, I needed to know first if you a) had a desktop system, and b) which platform.

    1Password for Windows can only import Login categories from CSV. Instructions are found in the document How to create a 1Password compatible CSV file, and the document Import data from other applications provides more general importation information.

    Column headers are not required.
