iPhone 1Password 6.4.1 still requests master password after reboot - touchID not available

Hi,

I was very happy to see the option to instantly use TouchID after a device reboot. On my iPad it works flawlessly on my iPhone however I have to enter my master password and with no option to use TouchID (little fingerprint button when logging in). In the settings I told the app to request the MP after 30 days. The little text beneath this option says the app requires my MP after 30 days AND after a restart of the device. This is contrary to the release note of 6.4.1 or am I missing something?

Regards,
Hendrik

@JohnnyFJohnsson: That does sound odd. It may be that some settings didn't get migrated properly there. I'm sorry for the trouble!

Can you try re-setting your security settings in 1Password? Simply changing it to something else and then changing it back should clear that up. Let me know how it turns out! :)

@brenty Thanks for your quick reply. When I got home yesterday I checked my 1Password iPad settings to compare it with my iPhone's. The duration when the app requires my MP is set to never and the description says that the MP will only be required if Touch-ID fails. When I select the same option on my phone the app does not prompts for the MP after a device's reboot.

I thought both would be possible at the same time. Having the MP be requested after let's say two weeks or 30 days and only then and not after each reboot as well. As soon as the option is turned from never to anything else the app also requests the MP after each reboot.

@JohnnyFJohnsson: Very strange. I'm not sure why it wold behave differently between devices. @Li7a: Thanks for checking. Very odd indeed! I'm sorry for the trouble here.

At this point, the best thing to do will be to setup logging (as described below), restart your device, unlock, and then generate a diagnostic report and send it to support+forums@agilebits.com so we can look at the logs to determine exactly what is happening:

    Sending Diagnostics Reports (iOS)*

*In 1Password Settings > Advanced > Diagnostics > Log Settings, enable App, Crypto, Database, Keychain, Lock, SQLite, and UI Lock.

Just be sure to include a link to this forum thread and your username in the email so we can 'connect the dots'. We will get to the bottom of this!
