1PW for Mac and 1PW for iOS are sold separately, and I am a bit confused as to what you are trying to do.

On the Mac side the same licence works for 1PW4, 5, and 6, so no extra fee will be charged. However, as you are on OS 10.9.5 (is your iMac too old to upgrade to 10.11?) you will not be able to upgrade.

1PW for iOS is free in its basic form, with an in-app purchase providing extra features.

    Hi @amc,

Thanks for taking the time to contact us. I'm sorry that you are having some trouble.

    1. Can you confirm that you are using 1Password 4 on your Mac and are able to unlock the app and access your data? If so, we should be able to sync that data to your iPad pretty easily. :)

If you need to install 1Password on another Mac running OS X Mavericks, you can download 1Password 4 from our downloads page. Clicking the "Using Mavericks or earlier?" link will take you to the Legacy section at the bottom of the page where you can download 1Password 4.4.3:

      https://agilebits.com/downloads#legacy_versions

But if you already have 1Password 4.4.3 installed on your Mac, you don't need to install it again.

    2. Can you also confirm that you have installed 1Password on your iPad?

I've got 1Password on my iMac, and am trying to install it on the iPad - that's where I've got stuck. How do I install the legacy version on an iPad?

Yes, I am using OS X 10.9.5 because the iMac is too old to upgrade to the latest version.

    Hi @amc,

Since your question is about the iOS version of 1Password, I've moved your forum discussion to our iOS forum. I hope you don't mind!

How do I install the legacy version on an iPad?

I'm not sure I understand why you're trying to install an older version of 1Password on your iPad. What version of iOS is your iPad running? If it has iOS 9, you can use the latest version of 1Password for iOS, which is version 6. It's a free download and offers free basic features. If you haven't previously purchased Pro features in 1Password for iOS, you can choose to do so with an in-app purchase (or you can use the free basic features if you'd like).
