iOS sync does not update 1Password.opvault file stored on Dropbox

Hi, I noticed this morning that a new login I stored yesterday on my iPhone had not been synced with my Mac. I ensured both devices synced again and that the sync targets were the same. I then checked the 1Password.opvault modified details on both devices and found the iPhone one was 2 months old; the Mac's was up to date. Grateful if you could offer some advice on what might be happening. I did notice something similar on my iPad two months' ago and tore my hair out trying to fix that.

Hi Pilar, Dropbox accounts, versions (MAS & App Store) and syncing all check out. When I create a new login on my Mac, the changes are made to Dropbox on Mac and I see them on my iOS device. When I create a new login on my iOS device (my original issue), I cannot see the changes in Dropbox for iOS, or on my Mac. Just restarted my iOS device, but still no changes.

I also sync TextExpander through Dropbox, so just made edits on my iOS device and on my Mac. After a bit of tickling, I can see the changes reflected on both devices.

I have started to have this same problem today.

Items created in the desktop app are synced (they show up on the phone), but items created on the mobile app (iphone) don't show up in the desktop app.

I have been trying for a while, created a few test items, synced on both mobile and desktop several times, same result.

    I'm syncing via Dropbox.

    Hi @stu_m and @alesis69,

Let’s take a closer look at your system to see if we can determine where things are getting tangled up.

I'd like to ask you to create a Diagnostics Report from your iOS device:

    Sending Diagnostics Reports (iOS)

Attach the Diagnostics Report(s) to an email message addressed to support+forum@agilebits.com.

Please do not post your Diagnostics Report(s) in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report(s) in our inbox.

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here so we can track down the report(s) and ensure that this issue is dealt with quickly. :)

Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks very much!

    I just sent mine. #QCN-35383-548

I've also checked that no files are added or modified to the dropbox folder (ie: band_X.js) when the ios app does the sync after adding new items or modifying existing ones. I checked both from the ios Dropbox app and from the desktop.

    Hi @stu_m,

I see that Ben sent you an email reply 8 days ago requesting a Diagnostics Report from your Mac to make sure it's syncing to the same file in Dropbox, and we don't seem to have received a reply from you since then unless it came from a different email address. If possible, please reply to Ben's email and, as Megan said above, we'll keep the conversation going directly via email to avoid complicating things between here and there. Thank you!

@stu_m: Indeed, Ben sent you an email 27 days ago, but it looks like we never heard back from you. I've just resent it, so be sure to check for it, and check your spam folder if you're not seeing it.

Hi Brenty, thanks, just checked inbox and it's there. Never saw Ben's D-Day message. Will send Mac report and hope it's still relevant.

I have the same problem using the agilekeychain file extension. Any new or modified item on iOS is not synced to Dropbox. I do not have this problem with Windows (syncing on Windows to Dropbox). Would be great if someone could help me. I've just sent you my iOS Diagnostic Report with #DFP-76387-161. Thanks

@arturn, @stu_m, there is an update to Dropbox for iOS today (12.2).

Install the update, then see if if syncs the previously un-synced files from your OPVAULT.

It worked for me -- see this post.
