6.3 doesn't auto login after entering master pass

Before upgrading to 6.3 when i pressed Ctrl-\ and the masterpassword was not active it would ask for the master, then when that was entered correctly it would auto fill and continue in the browser.

Now when the master pass is not active:

  • Press ctrl-\ in the browser
  • Asks for masterpass, it gets entered
  • Nothing happens
  • you have to click back to the browser
  • Press ctrl-\ again to login

Is this some kind of security feature that is by design or is it a bug? Sure was much more convenient the other way!

    Hi @squarecandy,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with 1Password. Now, I’m not able to reproduce what you’re seeing, so I have a few follow-up questions, just to make sure I’m understanding everything correctly:

    • When you use ⌘\ ( Command- \ ), are you already on a sign in page that you wish to fill?
    • Do you hit ‘Enter’ after typing your Master Password?
    • Could you clarify ‘Nothing happens’? (For example: does 1Password unlock? Do you see an error message? Does the window just vanish?)

I know some of these seem a bit basic, but the more detail we can get here, the more quickly we’ll be able to get to the bottom of things. Thanks for your help!
