    Hi @sarchi,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with 1Password. Before we get started with troubleshooting steps, I want to make sure that I correctly understand the problem.

    • Your Master Password is currently not being accepted on your iPhone.
    • Do you have access to your 1Password data on your Mac as well?
    • If so, is the data up to date and available (after typing in your Master Password) on your Mac?
    • Are you using iCloud or Wi-Fi to sync your data between your devices?

The more detail you can provide about what you’re seeing, the more quickly we’ll be able to get to the bottom of this.

    Hi @sarchi,

Ok, thanks for confirming those details! If the data on your Mac is up to date and correct, then we can simply start fresh on your iOS device and make sure that we’re syncing the data from 1Password on your Mac to your iOS device.

To start fresh with 1Password for iOS, all you need to do is delete and reinstall the app. Then follow the instructions in our User Guide to set up 1Password, either using iCloud or Wi-Fi.

    Hi @sarchi,

I’m not sure I quite understand: you changed your Master Password on your Mac for testing purposes?

Just to confirm, our goal here is to ensure that you can access your 1Password data on your iOS device. You can’t do that now because the Master Password isn’t working. If that’s the case, then it doesn’t matter what the Master Password is on your Mac, as long as it works. If the current Master Password is only for testing purposes, you could change it back to your super-strong super-unique Master Password before we set up 1Password on your iOS device.

as a matter of interest megan what is your world time slot..

I’m working from our Toronto office, so we’re on EST. :)

    Hi @sarchi,

Did part of your reply get cut off here? I still think our best course of action here is to reinstall 1Password for iOS and get the data from your Mac synced over. When you sync your data over, you will be prompted to unlock with your Master Password - the Master Password that you are currently using on your Mac. Then you’ll have access to your data on all your devices, with one Master Password to protect them.

@sarchi when you first launched 1Password for iOS after reinstalling it did you choose "Sign into 1Password account" or "Use without an account"? You'll have to select the second option if you aren't using 1Password Families or 1Password Teams. Once you do, you'll be prompted to connect whatever service you're using to sync your data. Once you follow the on-screen instructions you should have access to everything and 1Password for iOS will be set to unlock using the same Master Password used to unlock 1Password for Mac. 8-)

as I don't use wifi now

I was sceptical how to log in on the mobile
I see how it works in the browser
    but that's multi-tasking which is not 100%

    Hi @sarchi,

Are you importing from 1Password 3 for iOS? It was my understanding that we were working to get the data from your Mac synced up on your iOS device.

    Hi @sarchi,

If you’re using the latest version of iOS, you’ll definitely want to be using the latest version of 1Password to go along with it. There are a lot of great features in 1Password 6 that take advantage of the advances in the iOS since 1Password 3.

We have instructions on how to migrate your data from 1Password 3.

    Hi @sarchi,

Let’s take a closer look at your system to see if we can determine where things are getting tangled up.

I'd like to ask you to create a Diagnostics Report from your iOS device:

    Sending Diagnostics Reports (iOS)

Attach the Diagnostics Report(s) to an email message addressed to support+forum@agilebits.com.

Please do not post your Diagnostics Report(s) in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report(s) in our inbox.

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here so we can track down the report(s) and ensure that this issue is dealt with quickly. :)

Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks very much!
