In-Browser drop down menu unusual on iPad Splitscreen

Hey,

When opening any html drop down on my (small) iPad Pro and using the 1:2 or 1:3 Splitscreen, HTML drop down menus in 1password's built in browser, become total unusable. They fill the whole screen and when scrolling, the content will vanish. There isn't a close or done button either. I have to resize the screen to fix it. There is no fix when using 1password on the right side of the screen. This bug does not occur when using the 2:3 split screen.

Website for testing: http://www.w3schools.com/html/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml_elem_select (this applies to all drop down menus).

I use the most recent 1Password and iOS version as of the time of this writing.

    Hi @Matt3o12,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I’d like you to check one thing for me. What is the User Agent listed in 1Password’s Settings > 1Browser? Does changing the User Agent change what you’re seeing?

It doesn't. Still same buggy behavior with "1password" and iPhone as my user agent. I also reset my browser data on the occasion (and did not make a difference either).

  • Hi @Matt3o12,

I just tested this out on my iPad, and can absolutely reproduce the behavior. I could not reproduce it in Safari in any of the size classes for Split View, so we're definitely handling the selection form differently in 1Browser.

I've written up a detailed issue for our dev team to look at and hopefully find a fix.
