Can't get 1Password to download from iCloud to new iPhone with previous data!!!!

I recently upgraded to an iPhone 6S. When it was set up, my previous iPhone 6 was first backed up to the iCloud, then new phone was "restored," "synced"...whatever the proper term is.

After sync was completed on new phone, 1Password would not take me to the regular login screen. Instead, I get "Welcome to 1 Password - Sign in if you belong to a team or family account..."

This screen is totally new to me. I never had a family account so I don't want to log in that way. And, when I try to log in as if I don't have an account (which I do!), I get the following message: "Existing Data Not Found -- No 1 Password data was found on iCloud"

I have all of my work & personal accounts with passwords in my previous version & my old phone is no longer available.

Can you please advise how I'm supposed to retrieve my previous data?

Jacque

    Hi Jacque ( @jmsoder ),

I apologize for the frustration here!

This screen applies only to 1Password Teams and 1Password Families account holders. If you’ve signed up for a 1Password account at 1Password.com, then your data would be synced using the AgileBits servers (instead of a third-party service like Dropbox or iCloud.) Since your data is stored in iCloud, you’re correct, the option is to ‘use 1Password without an account’.

Previously to upgrading your phone, was your 1Password data synced using iCloud or Dropbox? Do you currently have 1Password on any other devices?

In addition to the Verizon rep creating a backup to iCloud from my old phone, my previous iPhone 6 was also set to sync to iCloud every night. That's why I'm at a loss why (1) the 1Password app doesn't even look the same as before; and (2) I can't access my stuff.

    Is there any hope?

@jmsoder I would like to apologize again for the frustration.

In addition to the Verizon rep creating a backup to iCloud from my old phone, my previous iPhone 6 was also set to sync to iCloud every night. That's why I'm at a loss why (1) the 1Password app doesn't even look the same as before; and (2) I can't access my stuff.

Syncing your iPhone's data via iCloud doesn't automatically sync your 1Password data. You would've had to have told 1Password to sync data via iCloud before in order for it to show up when you select the iCloud option on the 1Password welcome screen.

    (1) the 1Password app doesn't even look the same as before

There's a good chance 1Password doesn't look the same as before because you were using an old version of the app on your other iPhone. Were you using 1Password 6 for iOS on that phone?

    (2) I can't access my stuff.

Did you use 1Password on any other device? Did you by any chance follow the steps from this guide?
