Dropbox Sync Issue from iPhone to Other Devices (solved)

Just want to log this here in case anyone else runs into a similar issue:

App Versions

  • 1Password 6.4.2 and Dropbox 10.2.2 on iPhone 6S, iOS 9.3.2
  • 1Password 6.3.1 and Dropbox 5.4.24 on MacBook Pro OS X El Capitan 10.11.5
  • 1Password 6.4.2 and Dropbox 10.2.2 on iPad Air, iOS 10 b1

Setup

  • create/update entry on iPhone
  • force sync on 1Password on iPhone
  • create/update entry on iPad
  • force sync on 1Password on iPad
  • check Dropbox on Mac to make sure that 1Password vault folder is synced
  • launch 1Password on Mac

Symptom

  • 1Password on Mac shows records that were updated on iPad
  • 1Password on Mac does not show any of the updates from iPhone

Solution

  • restart iPhone
  • all records are synced across all devices
  • blargh >_<

1Password Version: 6.4.2

OS Version: OS X 10.11.5
Sync Type: Dropbox

    I'm sorry that you experienced some trouble setting up syncing on your devices, but I'm glad to hear that it's now been resolved! Thank you for posting your solution here, I'm sure it will help someone else who bumps into a similar issue. It's amazing how often some variation of "turning it off and back on" solves the problems, whether it is restarting the app, reinstalling it or restarting the entire computer.
