Every time I access the 1password app it displays the error "1password unexpectedly Quit" and forces me to re enter my four digit code.

    Hi @ChrisMac,

Thanks for taking the time to contact us. I'm sorry that you are having some trouble.

You indicated that you are using 1Password 3.7.2 which is a very old version of 1Password. If you are running a modern version of iOS, I suspect there may be some incompatibilities as that old version of 1Password hasn't been updated in many years.

The good news is that there is a very new and modern version of 1Password that works great in modern versions of iOS. Find your iOS version number:

    1. From the the Home Screen, tap Settings > General > About.
    2. The iOS version of your device should appear on this screen.

In this example, the version is 9.1. Can you tell me what your version number is?

@ChrisMac: Thanks! 1Password touch/Pro version 3 was discontinued years ago, so it hasn't been and won't be receiving any updates. However, 1Password 6 is available for iOS 9. It's a free download with an in-app purchase if you want Pro Features. And you can follow this guide to migrate your data from the old app:

    https://support.1password.com/upgrade-ios/

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any questions! :)

    Thanks brenty,

Obviously I am still doing something wrong.... can you help please?

I have uploaded the latest version of 1password.
I have locked my 3.7.2 version.
I then open my new version
i select "Use without an account"
I select "import from version 3"
    I tap "open password 3"
I am then asked to enter my 4 digit code to unlock version 3. It doesn't give me the screen or option to "import into new 1password".

    Any suggestions??
    Thanks

    Hi @ChrisMac,

If you enter the 4 digit code to unlock 1Password, are you then prompted to import?

Unfortunately I am not. it just goes into the app as per normal.
I have now purchased a new version of 1Password Pro hoping that would give me the option to import my old data from V3 but that doesn't appear obvious either.
I look forward to hopefully finding a solution that means I don't have to manually enter all of my data,

    Thanks

    Hi @ChrisMac,

I'm sorry the migration from version 3 to version 6 hasn't gone as smoothly as we'd hoped! But don't worry, there are other options to try before resorting to manually re-entering all your data.

Brenty previously gave you a link to this knowledgebase article:

Upgrade from 1Password 3 on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

The first part of that article covers the steps you've already tried. Since that didn't work, you'll want to try the steps in the next section - you can either scroll about halfway down the page, or use this link to jump right to it: https://support.1password.com/upgrade-ios/#if-you-aren-t-prompted-to-upgrade

Basically, those steps will explain how to save a backup of 1Password 3 and use that to migrate your data into 1Password 6. Are you able to create the backup by following those steps, or does the 1Password 3 app keep crashing before you can do that?

Excellent! Thanks for the update. On behalf of Drew, you are most welcome! I'm glad to hear that did the trick for you. Cheers! :)
