I am trying to set up 1Password on my iPad to sync with Dropbox.
I am attempting to get 1Password to sync via Dropbox on my iPad. In the set up, I am at a menu that says: "enter the password for 1Password.opvault in Dropbox to continue".
I have entered my Dropbox password, my 1Password password and everything I can think of and it says: "Incorrect Password".
What password is required here?
Thanks

Hi @slaglesenior,
The password being requested there is your Master Password to unlock your 1Password database. Do you have multiple vaults stored in Dropbox? I’m wondering if Dropbox might be showing you a vault other than the one you want to connect to.
When you reply, it would be great to know a bit more about your 1Password setup:
- How many devices are currently using 1Password? (Please include the version information for 1Password and the operating systems)
- On which device(s) do you have a complete copy of your 1Password data?
With this information we’ll be better able to help you get to a solution. :)

I currently am using 1Password on my PC (version information previously given) and on my iPhone 6, using IOS version 9.3.2 (13F69).
I am attempting to set up 1Password on my iPad Air running the same IOS version.
I have only one vault.

Thanks @slaglesenior!
Just to make sure I understand: When you try to set up sync with Dropbox in 1Password on your iPad, are you entering the same master password you use to unlock 1Password on your PC and on your iPhone? Or is it also rejected on those?
If you're able to unlock 1Password on the PC and iPhone with that same master password, are you also using Dropbox to sync 1Password between them? And if so, does that mean both your PC and iPhone have all your latest 1Password data?
In case you have multiple sync files in Dropbox, please check the sync settings on your iPhone:
- Open 1Password and go to Settings > Sync > Primary.
- Make sure it shows the 'Sync Service' is Dropbox.
- Tap Sync Service and check the file name and file path for the sync file in Dropbox (underneath Current Sync Method / Dropbox).
On your iPad, you'll need to select the exact same sync file in the exact same location within your Dropbox folder. If you're only given the choice of one sync file, then it should be the correct one (unless you're signed into a different Dropbox account).
If you're choosing the correct sync file in Dropbox and are entering the correct master password, but it isn't being accepted, please try the suggestions here: https://support.1password.com/master-password/#recover-your-password
Do any of those suggestions help? If not, have you changed your master password at all recently? Do you use any special/accented characters in your master password?
Thanks in advance! :)

I have successfully set up sync with Dropbox in 1Password on my iPhone. I am using and entering the same master password on 1Password on my PC, my iPhone, and iPad.
When attempting to set up sync with Dropbox in 1Password on my iPad, the file name and file path are identical to my iPhone ( Apps/1Password/1Password.opvault). However, when I choose that, I get a screen that says to enter the password for 1Password.opvault in Dropbox to continue. I have carefully entered the correct password numerous times, but it says it is an incorrect password.

Thanks @slaglesenior! It sounds like 1Password is working correctly on your iPhone and Windows PC (i.e. you can unlock 1Password on both of those, and changes you make to 1Password sync back & forth between them). In that case, I'm not sure exactly why the same master password isn't working to sync with Dropbox on your iPad, but we'll help to figure it out one way or another.
Have you tried the suggestions from the link I gave you in my previous message? Those usually help in most situations like this, so please make sure you try them if you haven't already done so. Here is that link again, for your convenience: https://support.1password.com/master-password/#recover-your-password
If none of those suggestions help, is there any chance you've changed your master password recently? Or do you happen to have any special/accented characters in your master password?

I failed to mention in my previous post that I was able to successfully reset my master password on my iPad. I am using the same master password on my PC, my iPhone, and my iPad. However, I still hit the same roadblock I described.

Hi @slaglesenior,
I’m not quite sure I understand. You mention being able to successfully reset the Master Password on your iPad, but you are still unable to set up sync using that Master Password. We are referring to the Master Password for 1Password and not a device passcode, right?
If you recently changed the Master Password for 1Password on your iPad, have you tried entering the previous Master Password when prompted to enter the password for 1Password.opvault in Dropbox to continue?
