I updated to iOS 9.3.2 and my Touch ID didn't work anymore. I get the message to enter the master password. I don't remember setting that up when I set up 1password. Is there any way to get back in?

@silverwings49: Oh dear! That's strange and unfortunate. :(

I hope you don't mind, but I've split you off into a separate discussion since your post isn't related to the other person's iCloud syncing issue.

I'm sorry to hear that Touch ID isn't working after you updated to iOS 9.3.2! When you first setup 1Password, you chose a Master Password to secure your vault.

For your privacy and security, your Master Password is known only by you. No information about your Master Password is ever sent to us. We cannot reset it for you and you cannot change it without entering the old one.

There is also no "back door" to access your data without the Master Password. Nor do we have any information about your Master Password we could use to help you find it. If there were, that would be a security hole that could be exploited to gain access to your secure information, even if we were the only ones who could exploit it. This way, no one, not even someone at AgileBits, can read your secure data.

However, please try the tips in this guide as they may help you gain access again:

If that doesn't help though, you will need to either restore from a backup, sync from another device, or simply start over. Please let me know how it turns out. I look forward to hearing back from you!

I ended up deleting my old 1password and reloading and setting it up again. Nothing in the link helped as I had done everything it said several times. Thanks, anyway. I have saved my master password in a different location for future reference and recovery if needed.

Great! While that's not a fun problem to have, it sounds like you've taken steps to avoid it in the future by keeping your Master Password in a safe place in case you forget it. Thanks for following up! :)
