I am stuck on entering Master Password from my MacBook. Hint asks for first pet and its name. Help
I am trying to sync a new iPhone with my MacBook Air. I enter what I believe is the correct master password from my MacBook on my new iPhone. I then get the request to enter my first pet and what was its name. I know it was a dog and its name. But the question does not provide a format to enter it and I am in a loop when I click on "Unlock" Help
1Password Version: 6.3.1
Extension Version: 4.5.6
OS Version: OSX 10.11.5
Sync Type: Wifi

Hi @unempldnow
I think there's been some confusion here with 1Password and the way it works and syncs. It sounds like you've been using 1Password already on your iPhone for a while, is this correct? It seems like you used 1Password on your phone with a Master Password related to your pet, and you set those two words as a hint, to remind yourself about it. The place where you have to write the is your Master Password.
If you have not already set up sync with your iPhone, you will not be able to enter the your MacBook's Master Password. Is this what you are trying to do? Sync (be able to access the same data) your iPhone and your MacBook? If this is the case, then you will need to set up either Dropbox or iCloud sync, iCloud is a bit easier.
Do you have any data already stored on your iPhone? If you don't and there's nothing that you fear you could lose, you can delete the app, install it again and pick "Use without an account". You can then follow the steps here to finish setting up Sync: https://support.1password.com/sync-options/#sync-it-yourself-with-icloud-or-dropbox
I hope to hear back from you so we can help you finish setting up :chuffed:
