When I first try to launch 1Password, I get an empty window. The second time I try to launch 1Password, I get the correct 1Password application, running properly. How can I get it to launch properly the first attempt?

    Hi @GaryG

I'm sorry that you're having some trouble with 1Password, that sounds like a very annoying trouble indeed! When did you first start noticing this behaviour? Did something change in the meanwhile? The first, and most likely easiest way to solve this is to remove the app from your computer and install it again. You only need to quit 1Password mini, move the app from your application folder into the trashcan, empty the trashcan and download it again from here: https://1password.com

I know that might sound scary, but all your data will still be right there when you install it again, with no extra effort. Please let us know if you try this and if it helps 1Password get launched correctly :chuffed:

How do I quit 1Password mini? There is no choice on the pull down menu that says quit. And, will I need to pay again, when I download the app from https://1password.com?

    Hi @GaryG,

Sorry if we weren't clear about that! In order to quit 1Password mini, open the main 1Password app, then hold down the control key on your keyboard and go to 1Password > Quit 1Password and 1Password mini in the menu bar (or you can use the ⌃⌘Q (Control+Command+Q) keyboard shortcut).

And, will I need to pay again, when I download the app from https://1password.com?

No, you definitely don't need to pay again - if you've been using the AgileBits Store version of 1Password for Mac, just go ahead and download a fresh copy from our download site.

Or if you previously purchased it from the Mac App Store, just open the Mac App Store and you should be able to download it again for free from the Purchased section (you'll need to be signed in with the same Apple ID used to make the purchase).

Please let us know how it goes, and if it's still a problem, we'll continue from there. Thanks! :)

    Hi @GaryG

On behalf of both Drew and myself, you're very welcome! I hope that 1Password behaves properly with the new installation, but if it doesn't please let us know so we can get to the bottom of it! :chuffed:
