And we can't backup 1password.com's vault on the Mac ?

That's correct. We've gone with tags instead. You can read more about that in a discussion already in progress.

And we can't backup 1password.com's vault on the Mac ?

Not per se, but please see Rick's reply (under "Where are the local backups?") in a different discussion.
