https://support.1password.com/starting-over/ is no longer accurate, Help -> Troubleshooting has no Start Over option. Where does one find it?

    Hi @b3nw

Thank you for pointing out that the guide is not accurate. If you want to start over you need to click on "Reset all 1Password data". I have reported your issue with our docs team so the article is clearer! :chuffed:

What if the Reset All 1Password data is greyed out?

    Hi @b3nw,

Try locking 1Password first. Use ⌘⌥⌃L ( Command-Option-Control-L ), or choose the 1Password menu and select ‘Lock’.

Is the option available to you now?

That works, not very intuitive but works! :)

  • Thanks for the update @b3nw. The logic behind it is that the common use case for that option is if you've forgotten your Master Password and as such don't mind blowing away all of your data. We don't want someone who does have access to their data to select that accidentally.
