Problem - Filling Webform - Amazon (Registration)
When I go to https://www.amazon.de/ and click on "Register" then the following page opens:
https://www.amazon.de/ap/register?encoding=UTF8&openid.assoc_handle=deflex&openid.claimed_id=http%3A%2F%2Fspecs.openid.net%2Fauth%2F2.0%2Fidentifier_select&openid.identity=http%3A%2F%2Fspecs.openid.net%2Fauth%2F2.0%2Fidentifier_select&openid.mode=checkid_setup&openid.ns=http%3A%2F%2Fspecs.openid.net%2Fauth%2F2.0&openid.ns.pape=http%3A%2F%2Fspecs.openid.net%2Fextensions%2Fpape%2F1.0&openid.pape.max_auth_age=0&openid.return_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.de%2Fgp%2Fyourstore%2Fhome%3Fie%3DUTF8%26ref%3Dnav_newcust
Here only the field "E-Mail" is filled, the field "Name" remains empty.
Here you should enter the first name, a blank and then the last name.

Hi @OLLI_S
I'm a little bit confused, are you trying to have 1Password filling in all the fields of the registration form? Isn't that something you'd only do once and then you only need to log in? Would you mind giving some more details about it so we can get a better idea of what the problem is?
If you want to fill in the registration form for some reason, the link that I gave you on the other post for creating logins manually might help you :chuffed:

I know that a registration is done only once.
But you have to fill this data on every website where you register (like forum) or at any web shop, where you buy something without having to register.1Password has the ability to fill these web forms with data from my Identity.
So when I am on a registration form, then 1Password should all the fields with my Identity.
And this should also work at Amazon.0 -
Thanks, @OLLI_S. I do see that the name field failed to fill in the German page but does fill in the English page, so hopefully this should be a fairly easy fix for us to make.
I also wanted to make sure you're aware of the report website feature we have available. Knowing details about which fields didn't fill properly or if the site behaves better in the English equivalent are very helpful as it gives us a good direction to start the investigation.

Indeed I did not know the report website feature, but in future I will use it.
Thank you for mentioning this.Should I report this problem here (with the Amazon registration) with the "report website feature" again?
Or is it OK that we have this forum posting here?0 -
@OLLI_S: This is totally okay! It can be helpful to do both:
- When you report via our Synapse website issue tracker, we get some useful information that is automatically added to the system for testing purposes.
- When you post here in the forums, an Actual Human™ can take a look at the issue and try to offer a solution, workaround, or report additional information that we can use to improve 1Password in the future.
Personally, I think that the best reason for both is that the former is quick and easy, and the latter is a great sanity check: sometimes the problem is only affecting a single person due to a technical issue, so having someone try to reproduce it can save everyone some frustration. Cheers! :)
