Question about the forum ranks

I saw that there is a star symbol on the right side of my forum postings.
A tooltip text tells me "Level 1".

What do those levels mean?
When does a user get Level 2?
Do you have any website that explains this?

    Thanks for asking about this.

    The forum software we use has some default "ranks", but we don't really make use of them. At this time, "Level 1" is essentially meaningless.

    Sorry it's not more exciting. :)
