1PW has strange behaviors when invoked from Safari on iPad
I can successfully use 1PW by using 1Browser and choosing an item from my logins.
Sometimes I can use Safari and other times I cannot. In the latter case, the 1PW oblong box appears with nothing in it and the product hangs the Safari session. I can reproduce this but there does not seem to be any logic to it. In another instance of a similar situation the box comes up and you can enter your MPW but if you dont choose an item it reboots in approx 12 seconds and requests you to enter MPW again? It happens on multiple websites. At first I thought it had to do with not having a fill in field on the page when you invoke 1PW but Ive found cases where this is not the case. Ive taken a screen shot and can mail it to you if you wish.
1Password Version: 6.4.4 It happened in last version too!
Extension Version: iBrowser has Safari iPad checked
OS Version: iOS 9.3.4 it happened on last version too!
Sync Type: dropbox

Seems to be the second invocation of 1Browser in 1PW
Update: the Empty One-Way Sign Screen of Death occurs in these cases:
CASE A
1. Goto a site where you have multiple possible sign ons whose Username and PW are pre-filled from Safari Keychain
2. Invoke 1PW, type in MPW and then hit cancel without choosing a login.
3. Invoke 1PW again - the Empty One-Way Sign Screen of Death appears :)Case B
1. Goto a site where you have one or more possible sign ons
2. invoke 1PW, type in MPW, let it fill the fields and then DON'T ENTER.
3. Invoke 1PW again - the Empty One-Way Sign Screen of Death appears :)Case C
Same as above except hit enter in step 2 and load the website.Case D
1. Goto a site where you have multiple possible sign ons whose Username and PW
2. Invoke 1PW, type in MPW and choose a login and enter the website.
3. Logout
3. Invoke 1PW again - the Empty One-Way Sign Screen of Death appears :)0 -
1 Browser "User agent" choice in settings has no impact - the HANG occurs with both 1Browser or Safari(iPad) chosen

One more possibly related datapoint: I had the 1Browser security set to be 1 hour as im updating a lot of things. After setting the security to Lock on Exit, the problem appears to go away.
PLEASE FIX THIS, as I have an obscenely tedious & long MPW.

Hi @drneutrino,
Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention! The first thing I want to confirm here is that you are seeing this behaviour in the Safari app. You mention 1Browser, which is the browser that is built right into the 1Password app, but it sounds like you might actually be referring to the 1Password app extension, which pops up when you select the Share sheet in mobile Safari.

Hi Megan
Yes, you are right. I'm not up to snuff on my 1PW nomenclature.0 -
Yes, Im only seeing this behavior in the Safari app.
Yes, everyplace I used "1Browser" I meant the 1Password app extension.thanks

Hi @drneutrino,
Let’s take a closer look at your system to see if we can determine where things are getting tangled up.
The next time you encounter this, I'd like to ask you to create a Diagnostics Report from your iOS device:
Sending Diagnostics Reports (iOS)
Attach the Diagnostics Report(s) to an email message addressed to support+forum@agilebits.com.
Please do not post your Diagnostics Report(s) in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report(s) in our inbox.
You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here so we can track down the report(s) and ensure that this issue is dealt with quickly. :)
Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks very much!

Which of the items in diagnostic would you like me to enable?

Hi @drneutrino,
The standard Report should be sufficient for now. If it doesn’t generate enough information, we can re-evaluate. :)

I reproduced it again because I didn't include link to forum so there are duplicate diagnostics (slightly different). The other one is [#DSG-34245-252].

One more piece of data. I can reproduce this on an iPhone 6.
The security settings must be set as follows:Lock on exit. Set Off
Touch ID. Set Off0 -
@drneutrino: Thanks! I see that we've received your email, so we can continue the conversation there. We'll take a look at the diagnostics and get back to you shortly! :)
