Frustrated

I guess I either expected more or I don't know what I'm doing. I just downloaded and paid for the upgrade expecting it to work like my old password manager on my PC.
Why can't this thing interact whith my iPad Pro and save passwords on the fly without having to go back to this ap and fill in everyone again. I used to have a book that I wrote every site password down, with this ap I feel like that's what I'm still doing...
I want One Password to interact with me and remember all that info, fill in all of the address credit card lines with just a tap.

    Hi @Jerry_Robbins,

I’m so sorry to hear that you’re feeling frustrated. I’d be happy to help you get things sorted out.

I just downloaded and paid for the upgrade expecting it to work like my old password manager on my PC.

Did you have data in your other password manager that you would like to import into 1Password? We have an import guide in our support pages that can help you migrate the data from other applications into 1Password.

Why can't this thing interact whith my iPad Pro and save passwords on the fly without having to go back to this ap and fill in everyone again.

There are some limitations on iOS that govern what an app can see and do. Unfortunately, 1Password can’t hang out in the background and watch for any time you might type something in that looks like a password. But we can make filling in your details easier with the 1Password app extension.

I want One Password to interact with me and remember all that info, fill in all of the address credit card lines with just a tap.

Good news, that’s what we have designed 1Password to do! Once we get everything set up, I’m sure that you’ll be impressed with the convenience of the app.

If you can tell me a bit more about where things are getting tangled up, we can start from there and work forward. :)

I can't import from my Microsoft pc to my iPad where my passwords are because of comparability issues. I did upload to the cloud everything when I upgraded to the iPad Pro and transferred it but for whatever reason I've had to manually redo every password back into my iPad. That's when I bought this ap figured it would solve future issues. I have gone through and filled in all of the info required, turned on the switch on the drop down menu but the magic just isn't there..
Maybe it's a age thing, I'm 60 and technology is moving faster than I can keep up. I had hoped the ap was easier, my wife has more issues with passwords than me with all of her shopping sites and I'd hoped it would solve issues for her also.

@Jerry_Robbins: I'm sorry for the trouble! 1Password isn't a panacea, and as you noted it isn't possible for it to read data for just anywhere. While it's definitely time consuming to setup if you have a bunch of information stored somewhere else that needs to be transferred, it is at least a finite process. And the good news is that not only will your sensitive information be secure once you put it in 1Password, we're here for you if you have any issues. For example, are you having trouble using 1Password with specific sites? Be sure to let us know the URLs so we can help! And also backup your data:

    1Password backup and restore (iOS)

That way if something happens to your iPad you don't have to redo all of the work you've done saving all of this information — or worse, having it lost forever! :)
